Job summary
Placements24 is seeking a Production Chemist in Centurion to optimize chemical processes in the Oil & Gas sector. You will analyze processes, troubleshoot, and implement solutions to improve yields, product quality, and safety in a plant setting.
Requirements include a Bachelor's in Chemistry/related field and 3–7 years of experience, with hands-on use of GC, HPLC and spectroscopy. You will work with operations and engineering to drive continuous improvement and regulatory compliance.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or related field.
- 3–7 years of experience as Production/Process Chemist in Oil & Gas or related chemical manufacturing.
- Proficiency with GC, HPLC, titration and spectroscopy techniques.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and optimize chemical processes to meet product specs.
- Develop and implement QC procedures for raw materials and finished products.
- Troubleshoot process issues and recommend corrective actions.
- Conduct laboratory analyses to support process optimization and R&D.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Collaborate with operations and engineering to implement process improvements.
