Job summary

GVW Group in South Africa is seeking an AI Engineer who turns opportunities into tangible business value. This hands-on role focuses on automating decision-making, improving operational efficiency, and delivering production-grade AI capabilities iteratively to drive measurable impact.

You will design end-to-end AI workflows, prototype with Azure OpenAI and Copilot Studio, and integrate agents into Teams, web apps, and existing systems.

Responsibilities

• Identify AI opportunities to improve efficiency, automation, decision-making, or knowledge access.
• Translate business requirements into clearly defined AI use cases with measurable outcomes.
• Assess technical feasibility and align solutions with enterprise data and AI strategy.
• Produce high-level solution designs, architecture diagrams, and technical documentation.
• Design end-to-end AI workflows, from data inputs and prompt design to integration points with existing systems.
• Build and deploy production-grade AI solutions using Azure AI Foundry, Azure OpenAI, Copilot Studio, or equivalent Microsoft frameworks.
• Design, configure, and deploy conversational agents and copilots that integrate into business workflows, including agents deployed via Teams, web apps, and other channels.
• Architect and implement agentic and multi-agent systems using appropriate patterns based on task complexity.
• Develop and deploy RAG solutions and prompt-engineered AI workflows.
• Integrate AI solutions with existing data sources, REST APIs, and business systems.
• Apply cost optimization strategies and implement monitoring and continuous improvement through prompts and retraining.
