Job summary

Ovations Talent Sourcing is seeking an AI Engineer in a hybrid Johannesburg role. You will design, build and deploy scalable AI-driven solutions using Microsoft Copilot Studio and Azure AI Foundry to support enterprise workflows.

You will work on Generative AI, AI agents, RAG pipelines, and enterprise AI integrations, delivering cutting-edge automation and governance. The contract runs through December 2026 with an emphasis on secure, scalable systems.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Copilot Studio and Azure AI Foundry.
• Experience building and deploying AI/Generative AI solutions.
• Experience with AI agents / conversational AI.
• Strong Python and API integration skills.
• Experience with Prompt Engineering, RAG, model evaluation and tuning.
• Knowledge of Azure, SQL, APIs and data lakes.
• Experience with GitHub, CI/CD, DevOps and Agile/SAFe.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop AI agents and copilots using Microsoft Copilot Studio.

Location: Johannesburg hybrid 3 days in the office

Employment Type: Independent contract ending December 2026

We are looking for an AI Engineer to design, build and deploy scalable AI-driven solutions using Microsoft Copilot Studio and Azure AI Foundry.

This is an exciting opportunity to work on Generative AI, AI agents, RAG pipelines and enterprise AI integrations, helping automate business processes and deliver innovative AI use cases.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop AI agents and copilots using Microsoft Copilot Studio
