Mayfly Agri in South Africa seeks a skilled agronomy professional to lead seasonal trials, trial layouts, and data presentation to Product Development. The ideal candidate holds a tertiary qualification, 3–5 years of relevant experience, and strong knowledge of agronomy and irrigation, with fluency in English and Afrikaans.

Job description

Minimum requirements for the role:

• Must have a tertiary qualification within the relevant field
• Minimum 3-5 years’ relevant experience
• Demonstrated knowledge of agronomy and irrigation is essential
• Proficient in English and Afrikaans, both written and spoken
• Open to extensive travel and overnight stays as operationally required (B&B/guesthouse)
• Ability to work effectively under pressure
• Must be proficient in computer applications and technology
• Strong personal time management skills, with the ability to meet deadlines consistently
• Collaborative team player with excellent communication skills across departments
• Must have a valid driver’s license and be willing to work flexible hours

The successful candidate will be responsible for:
