Responsibilities

• Develop and implement targeted marketing and sales plans.
• Offer technical advice and troubleshooting to farmers.
• Plan, coordinate, and assess trials for products.
• Conduct presentations during farmer workshops.

Description / Synopsis

An industry leader in the agricultural sector is searching for driven and customer orientated Agronomists to join their team. This key role focuses on product marketing, technical support for seed sales, and building relationships with farmers and agents. Regional roles are available in Howick, Mpumalanga, Silverton and Port Elizabeth

Minimum Requirements

• Relevant agricultural degree/qualification
• Experience/exposure to agricultural/technical sales
• Experience in field trials and agricultural research beneficial
• Knowledge/experience with row crops – maize, corn, soy, sunflower, potato etc.
• BASOS or AVCASA certification advantageous
• Valid drivers licence
• Proficient computer skills and solid administrative ability
• Willingness to travel and work flexible hours

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement targeted marketing and sales plans for the company’s product range
• Offer technical advice and troubleshooting to farmers and agents
• Plan coordinate and assess trials for both existing and new products
• Deliver up to date product information to customers and agents
• Conduct presentations during farmer workshops and study groups
• Meet sales budgets by setting and monitoring targets
• Assist with stock management and consignment inventory control
