Job summary

Staff Unlimited Recruitment is seeking an experienced engineer to design and modify products, coordinate production support for aftermarket lines, and drive engineering changes. You will manage new product implementations, communicate with customers on engineering activities, prepare BOMs and drawings, and validate designs through DV testing against specs.

Working with management, production and marketing, you will assess feasibility, cost effectiveness, safety, and environmental requirements

Responsibilities

• Executes or coordinates activities to design new products, modify existing designs and support production activities relating to aftermarket products
• Manage all aspects of new product implementation, including customer communication for engineering activities, project management, bill of material and engineering drawings.
• Validation of product design by DV testing versus customer and internal engineering specifications
• Make use of computer assisted engineering and design software and equipment to perform engineering and design tasks
• Initiating new business enquiries and costing bill of materials for quotation purposes during the feasibility study of any new changed product enquiry
• Problem solving using problem solving tools and data driven techniques such as DMAIC, 8D, RCA & 5-why
• Confers with management, production, and marketing staff to determine engineering feasibility, cost effectiveness, and customer demand for new and existing products
• Maintains a working knowledge of company policies, technologies, design rules and procedures applicable to the engineering activities
• Maintains a working knowledge of safety and environmental policies and regulations to ensure duties are performed in a safe manner
• Support to Quality department through investigation and root cause determination of quality and warranty issues
