Job summary

Staff Unlimited Recruitment is seeking a skilled CAD drafter to produce detailed 2D and 3D design drawings using Autodesk Inventor in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

You will interpret project specs, prepare GA and fabrication drawings, generate BOMs, and work with Project Managers and Workshop teams to ensure accurate, on-time deliverables. The role emphasizes maintaining libraries and version control, with client approvals and adherence to industry standards from start to finish.

Qualifications

• Proficient in 2D/3D design drafting using CAD tools.
• Ability to interpret specs and develop buildable solutions.
• Excellent version control and documentation practices.

Responsibilities

• Produce detailed 2D and 3D design, fabrication, and installation drawings using Autodesk Inventor.
• Interpret project specifications, engineering drawings, and design requirements to develop practical, buildable solutions.
• Prepare GA, fabrication, and installation drawings to company and industry standards.
• Generate accurate BOMs and material take-offs to support procurement.
• Work closely with Project Managers and Workshop teams to optimize designs and minimise fabrication rework.
• Revise and update drawings throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring accuracy and version control.
• Maintain drawing libraries, templates, and standard components to improve design consistency and efficiency.
• Submit drawings for internal review and client approval within project deadlines.
