Job summary

Finselect Personnel is seeking a seasoned Procurement Leader to develop and implement the company's procurement strategy, policies and governance in collaboration with Finance and Operations. You will lead the procurement team, manage supplier relationships, negotiate pricing and contracts, monitor risk, ensure compliance, and drive cost-saving initiatives while maintaining quality and timely delivery.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 qualification.
• Relevant tertiary qualification in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Business Management or a related field.
• 5-10 years' procurement experience, with at least 3 years in a management/senior leadership role.
• Strong negotiation, analytical and financial skills.
• Experience in supplier and contract management.
• Strong knowledge of procurement processes and best practices.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office and relevant procurement/ERP systems.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement the company's procurement strategy and policies.
• Manage supplier selection, evaluation, negotiations and performance.
• Negotiate pricing, contracts, payment terms and delivery agreements.
• Identify cost-saving and value-adding opportunities.
• Ensure effective purchasing processes and compliance with company policies.
• Manage procurement budgets and monitor expenditure.
• Maintain strong relationships with key suppliers and stakeholders.
• Monitor market trends, pricing and supplier risks.
• Ensure quality, availability and timely delivery of products and services.
• Lead, manage and develop the procurement team.
• Ensure accurate procurement records, reporting and documentation.
• Work closely with Finance, Operations, Warehousing and other departments.
