Job summary

Boardroom Appointments is seeking a procurement specialist to purchase goods, materials and services to meet the company's operational needs, balancing price, quality and delivery to ensure continuity of supply.

You will support the purchasing function, liaise with suppliers and internal departments, monitor market trends and negotiate contracts to improve prices and terms while maintaining professional supplier relationships.

Qualifications

• Relevant business/commercial or manufacturing/engineering qualification.
• Working knowledge of Syspro System.
• Previous experience of working in purchasing department within a manufacturing environment.
• Good communication in English (read/write).
• Ability to liaise with colleagues from other departments.

Responsibilities

• Purchase goods, materials or services in line with costs, quality and delivery targets.
• Support the purchasing function and communicate supply problems.
• Interface between suppliers and internal departments on purchasing processes and new projects.
• Monitor market trends and supplier performance to identify risks or savings.
• Negotiate contracts and terms to achieve cost savings while ensuring supply continuity.
