Job summary

Talent Candey is seeking an experienced Procurement & Stock Control Administrator to join a Johannesburg-based procurement team. You will provide administrative and operational support across purchasing, supplier coordination, stock control and inventory reporting.

The role requires attention to detail, strong MS Excel skills and experience with ERP or inventory management systems, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

Qualifications

• Relevant Diploma or qualification in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Logistics or related field.

Responsibilities

• Process and maintain local and international purchase orders across the Group.
• Assist with purchasing activities and supplier-related administration.
• Coordinate supplier documentation and procurement records.
• Monitor outstanding orders and follow up on purchasing queries.
• Ensure purchase orders and supporting documentation are accurate.
• Maintain compliance with company purchasing procedures and internal controls.
• Process daily interbranch transfers and stock journals.
• Assist with stock adjustments relating to damages, obsolete stock, stocktakes, assets and stock corrections.
• Extract stock valuations and calculate stock variances.
• Investigate stock discrepancies and assist with stocktake reconciliations.
• Maintain accurate stock administration and inventory records.
• Prepare daily Takealot reports.
• Prepare overstocking reports for consumable products.
• Extract and maintain stock-on-hand reports for relevant branches and distribution operations.
• Assist with monitoring stock availability and inventory movements.
• Maintain accurate stock reporting and supporting documentation.
• Process and maintain freight and courier creditor documentation.
• Coordinate Head Office documentation relating to freight and courier services.
• Monitor and record weekly container arrivals.
• Process stationery and label orders.
• Check consumable stock levels weekly, including terminals.
• Liaise with suppliers, branches and internal departments.
• Follow up on outstanding procurement and stock-related queries.
• Provide general administrative support to the Procurement Manager.
