Qualifications

• Master's degree in a related field such as Business Admin or Supply Chain Management.
• Minimum 8 years in procurement/supply chain, with at least 3 years in a managerial role.
• Proven expertise in strategic sourcing, category management, and supplier relationship management.
• Strong negotiation skills and experience handling high-value contracts.

About the Role

Our client is actively seeking a results-oriented and strategic Procurement Manager to lead their purchasing operations in Midrand, Gauteng . This critical leadership role involves overseeing all aspects of the procurement cycle, from strategic sourcing to vendor management, ensuring the company obtains the best value for its expenditures. The successful candidate will be instrumental in driving efficiency, mitigating risks, and fostering strong supplier relationships to support the company's growth objectives. This position is based in our Midrand office, offering a fully on-site experience to foster team collaboration and operational oversight.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute strategic sourcing plans for key categories of spend within Midrand .
• Lead a team of procurement professionals, providing guidance, mentorship, and performance management.
• Establish and maintain robust supplier qualification, evaluation, and performance monitoring processes.
• Negotiate complex contracts and agreements with national and international suppliers.
• Conduct market intelligence and cost analysis to identify savings opportunities and market trends.
• Oversee the procurement budget and ensure adherence to financial targets.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including operations, finance, and legal, to align procurement activities with business needs.
• Implement and manage procurement policies, procedures, and best practices.

Requirements
