Job summary

The South African Breweries is seeking a Compliance & Contract Manager to safeguard procurement governance, ensure regulatory and contractual compliance, and lead third‑party risk management. You will work with Legal, Finance, and Procurement to drive accountability and continuous improvement across the function.

Ideal candidates will have strong commercial and legal acumen, stakeholder influence skills, and relevant certifications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Law or related field.
• Masters degree preferred.
• 5 years’ experience in legal, compliance, governance, or related functions.
• Experience reviewing, negotiating, and managing commercial contracts and compliance frameworks.
• Experience managing stakeholder relationships across business, legal, procurement, and executive functions.

Responsibilities

• Ensure procurement activities comply with legal, regulatory, ethical, and internal policy requirements.
• Develop, maintain, and communicate procurement policies, standards, and governance frameworks.
• Monitor compliance controls, conduct reviews, and support internal and external audits.
• Review supplier contracts and commercial agreements to ensure legal and policy compliance.
• Identify and mitigate contractual risks in partnership with Legal and Procurement teams.
• Monitor adherence to contractual obligations across the procurement lifecycle.
• Oversee BBBEE compliance, regulatory reporting, and the implementation of legal, regulatory, and governance requirements impacting procurement.
• Lead third-party risk management activities, including supplier due diligence, risk assessments, and ongoing risk monitoring.
• Build and maintain effective stakeholder relationships while driving communication, awareness, and adoption of procurement compliance, governance, and capability initiatives.
• Monitor, analyse, and report on compliance, audit, risk, and capability development performance, driving continuous improvement and corrective actions where required.
