Placements24 is seeking a dynamic Process Engineer to join its Special Projects division in Nelspruit. You will drive process design, optimization, and troubleshooting across diverse assignments, from feasibility studies to implementing innovative solutions for chemical engineering challenges.

The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical mindset, adapt quickly, and collaborate across R&D, operations, and project management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum of 6 years of process engineering experience.
• Strong background in process design, simulation, and troubleshooting.
• Experience with project management methodologies and tools is a plus.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team in a hybrid setting in Nelspruit.

Responsibilities

• Lead and execute special projects related to process design, optimization, and troubleshooting.
• Conduct feasibility studies, technical assessments, and cost-benefit analyses for new process initiatives.
• Develop PFDs and P&IDs, and specify process equipment for unique applications.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including R&D, operations, and project management.
• Ensure that all project work complies with relevant engineering standards, safety regulations, and environmental requirements.
• Prepare detailed project reports, proposals, and presentations for stakeholders.
