Qualifications

• PhD or Master’s in Organic Chemistry, Process Chemistry, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in process chemistry, preferably within the pharmaceutical industry.
• Strong knowledge of organic synthesis, reaction mechanisms, and scale-up principles.
• Experience with analytical techniques for compound characterization and purity assessment.
• Proficiency in process safety evaluation and risk assessment.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and strong communication skills for effective collaboration.

This role is essential for the development, optimization, and scale-up of chemical synthesis processes for active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs). You will be involved in translating laboratory-scale synthesis into robust, safe, and cost-effective manufacturing processes. The hybrid model allows for dedicated time in the lab for experimental work and remote time for data analysis, documentation, and report writing. This position is ideal for a chemist with a strong understanding of process chemistry and scale-up challenges.
