Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Process Development Scientist for a fully remote R&D team to optimize and scale manufacturing processes for novel products. You will apply chemical engineering, process chemistry, and analytical expertise to deliver robust, cost-efficient production for new products.

You will work with manufacturing, QA, and research teams to translate lab discoveries into scalable commercial processes, ensuring high yields, purity, and robust quality controls.

About the Role

Our client is seeking a results-driven Process Development Scientist to join their innovative, fully remote R&D team. This role is critical in developing, optimizing, and scaling up manufacturing processes for novel products. You will apply your expertise in chemical engineering, process chemistry, and analytical techniques to ensure efficient, robust, and cost-effective production. Working remotely, you will collaborate closely with manufacturing, quality assurance, and research teams to translate laboratory discoveries into viable commercial processes. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and optimize chemical synthesis or manufacturing processes for new products.

Requirements

• Ph.D. or Master's degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in process development within the pharmaceutical, chemical, or biotech industry.
• Strong understanding of process chemistry, scale-up principles, and manufacturing operations.
• Proficiency with process modeling and simulation software is a plus.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
