Job summary

FirstRand Limited's FNB Private Credit team in Cape Town seeks a Private Credit Specialist to evaluate applicant financials, assess credibility and deal viability within a prescribed mandate. You will work with the lending and advisory teams to structure deals and present credit papers, while monitoring risk and covenants across a portfolio of HNW/UHNW clients.

The role requires a BCom Finance/Accounting degree (CA advantageous) and 1–3 years of credit experience, strong cash-flow modelling

Qualifications

• Experience in credit risk assessment and financial statement analysis.
• Ability to model cash flows for debt service and covenant construction.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills with clients and internal teams.

Responsibilities

• Support and manage a portfolio of HNW & UHNW clients.
• Attend client meetings with lending and advisory teams; structure deals and present credit papers.
• Monitor ongoing risk and covenants; engage stakeholders to ensure decisions.
• Contribute to value-add initiatives and improve client experience.
