Job summary

Vodacom SA is seeking a privacy-focused professional to lead and govern personal data processing activities, assess risks, and implement privacy controls. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to embed privacy-by-design in new processes, systems and products, ensuring POPIA compliance and Governance, Risk and Compliance oversight.

The role includes training, awareness initiatives, and regulatory engagement to support Vodacom SA and subsidiaries, with Midrand base and group-wide

Qualifications

• Experience in privacy impact assessments and governance
• Understanding of POPIA compliance and regulatory requirements
• Ability to map data flows and advise on privacy controls

Responsibilities

• Maintain PDPR and link business processes to data flows
• Conduct PIAs and collaborate with tech teams on privacy-by-design
• Deliver privacy training and awareness programs
• Perform privacy assurance reviews, self-assessments and reporting
• Engage regulators/regulatory inquiries and manage DPAs with suppliers
