AB InBev South Africa in Cape Town is seeking a Data Privacy Officer to lead POPIA and GDPR compliance, develop privacy policies, and ensure data handling meets the highest standards. You will work with Legal, IT and business units to embed privacy across processes and systems.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in data privacy, compliance or information security, with a law/IS/CS background and advanced privacy certifications. This role offers growth within a global company.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in data privacy, compliance or information security.
• Experience implementing privacy programs and PIAs.
• Strong knowledge of POPIA and GDPR requirements.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain privacy policies across POPIA/GDPR.
• Conduct PIAs for projects, systems, and third‑party engagements.
• Manage DSARs and ensure timely, accurate responses.
• Monitor processing activities to identify privacy risks.
• Provide privacy guidance to business units and senior leadership.
• Lead incident response for data breaches and remediation.
• Deliver privacy training and awareness programs.
