Job summary

South African Bank Note Company (Pty) Ltd in Pretoria is seeking a skilled printer to set up and operate Litho or Intaglio machines in line with production standards and quality requirements.

The ideal candidate will have Matric, TT3 with Printing Trade Certificate, and 3–5 years’ experience as Printer No. 2 or related roles in the printing industry, with strong maintenance and planning skills to meet customer expectations.

Qualifications

• Set-up and operate Litho or Intaglio Machine in line with production standards.
• Ensure first line maintenance is completed and report faults to PEM.
• Provide training and technical support to assistants and operators.
• Maintain clean and safe workplace per Operational Excellence Standards (OES).
• Comply with safety regulations and escalate hazards.

Responsibilities

• Set-up and operate the Litho or Intaglio Machine in line with production standards, targets, quality and safety standards
• Take responsibility for the overall production, performance of the team and quality produced.
• Set-up and operate the Litho or Intaglio Machine in line with production standards, targets, quality and safety.
• Ensure that the first line maintenance is completed and report any machine faults to PEM Department.
• Provide assistants and operators with technical support/training when the need arises.
• Ensure clean and tidy workplace at all times in line with OES.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations, procedures and standards by identifying hazards associated with assigned tasks and escalating hazards that could not be mitigated.
• The preferred candidate is likely to have Matric, TT3 with Printing Trade Certificate, and 3–5 years’ experience as Printer No. 2 or related experience in the printing industry.

Main Responsibilities (not Limited To)
