Placements24 is seeking a Principal Roads Engineer in Kimberley to lead the design, planning and management of major road and highway projects across the Northern Cape. The role requires strong expertise in road design, traffic engineering and construction supervision to deliver safe, sustainable transportation solutions.

You will mentor junior staff, coordinate with clients and authorities, and ensure compliance with SANRAL and municipal standards in a hybrid work setting with office presence

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Civil Engineering with a Transportation/Road focus.
• Pr. Eng registration with ECSA is essential.
• At least 10 years of progressive roads engineering and project management experience.
• Proficiency in Civil Designer, AutoCAD Civil 3D and traffic modeling tools.
• Knowledge of road construction materials, techniques and QC.
• Experience leading large-scale road infrastructure projects.
• Strong leadership, communication, and client-management skills.
• Experience in Kimberley or Northern Cape projects is highly desirable.
• Ability to thrive in hybrid work environments.
