About the Role

Our client, a highly regarded recruitment consultancy, is seeking an exceptional Principal Recruitment Consultant specializing in Finance and Accounting to join their fully remote team. This is a senior, independent role where you will drive the recruitment process for high-level financial professionals across various industries. You will leverage your extensive network and deep market knowledge to identify, engage, and secure top talent for our clients. As a remote-first organization, we provide the tools and support necessary for you to excel from your home office, serving clients across South Africa and beyond. This role offers significant autonomy and the opportunity to shape recruitment strategies for critical financial roles.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the complete recruitment lifecycle for senior finance and accounting professionals, including CFOs, Financial Controllers, and Auditors.
• Develop and execute sophisticated sourcing strategies to identify passive and active candidates within the financial sector.
• Conduct in-depth interviews and assessments to evaluate technical skills, leadership potential, and cultural fit.
• Build and maintain strong, strategic relationships with key clients and hiring managers.
• Provide expert market intelligence and consultancy on compensation, talent availability, and industry trends.
• Actively participate in business development by identifying and pursuing new client opportunities.
• Mentor and guide junior members of the recruitment team when opportunities arise.
• Ensure a consistently excellent candidate and client experience throughout the recruitment process.
• Utilize advanced recruitment technologies and CRM systems to manage pipelines and track progress efficiently.

Requirements

• Substantial experience as a Recruitment Consultant with a proven track record in placing senior finance and accounting professionals.
• Deep understanding of financial markets, accounting principles, and common financial software.
• Exceptional networking, communication, and negotiation skills, particularly with senior-level professionals.
• Demonstrated ability to operate effectively in a fully remote work environment, exhibiting strong self-discipline and time management.
• Proficiency with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and candidate relationship management (CRM) tools.
• A strong network within the finance and accounting community is highly advantageous.
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field; professional accounting qualifications (e.g., CA(SA), ACCA) are a significant plus.
• Experience in a principal or lead consultant role within a recruitment consultancy is preferred.
