Placements24 is seeking a Principal Information Security Architect in Polokwane, Limpopo, ZA, for an enterprise-wide security architecture leadership role. The position blends strategic office collaboration with remote work flexibility to shape secure, scalable infrastructure.

The successful candidate will design complex security solutions, manage threat modeling, and drive security standards across cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP) and data centers, while mentoring senior and junior staff.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of information security experience with a focus on architecture.
• Proven track record designing security solutions for large enterprises.
• Expertise in network security, cryptography, cloud security, IAM, data security.
• Familiar with NIST CSF and ISO 27001.
• Hybrid work with on-site in Polokwane.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and architecture of enterprise security systems.
• Define standards, patterns, and guidelines for security.
• Evaluate new security technologies and solutions.
• Provide guidance on cloud security across AWS, Azure, and GCP.
• Mentor junior architects and engineers.
• Stay abreast of threats and regulatory requirements.
