Placements24 is partnering with a major financial services organization in Pretoria to hire a Senior Security Architect who will lead the design and implementation of enterprise-wide security strategies.

This hybrid role balances in-office collaboration in Pretoria, Gauteng, with opportunity for remote work. You will work with IT leadership, business units, and compliance to embed security across the enterprise and mentor engineers.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or equivalent in a relevant field.
• 8+ years in information security with 4+ years in security architecture.
• Experience across on-prem and cloud security design and implementation.
• Strong knowledge of NIST and ISO 27001 frameworks.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain enterprise security architecture aligned to business goals.
• Design security solutions across networks, applications, cloud, and data.
• Provide technical leadership and governance on security practices.
• Conduct threat modeling and risk assessments for new systems.
• Evaluate security technologies and inform strategy.
• Collaborate with IT project teams to embed security in projects.
• Maintain security architecture documentation and standards.
• Mentor junior security architects and engineers.
