RiseUp Group in Cape Town seeks a Principal Engineer to safeguard regional engineering assets and lead the local team. You will ensure assets are maintained, operated to specs, and aligned with contract standards, while driving lifecycle improvements.

Ideal candidates bring 7+ years in electrical/mechanical engineering and 5+ years in facilities management, with leadership experience and a valid Code B license for regional travel.

Formación

• Engineering degree(s) required with professional registration preferred.
• PrEng/PrTech and GCC Factories certifications are advantageous.
• Minimum 7 years in electrical or mechanical engineering.
• Minimum 5 years in facilities management.
• Experience leading engineering teams and performance management.
• Experience in asset management, maintenance planning and RCA.
• Experience with contractual service standards and client specs.
• Valid Code B driver’s license and willingness to travel in WC.

About the role

Our client is looking for a Principal Engineer to be the custodian of its engineering assets in the Western Cape. You will make sure all assets and buildings in the region are maintained, controlled and operated to the required specifications. You will also lead the regional engineering team and carry accountability for engineering functions and assets under the contract.

• B-Tech (Engineering) / BSc (Engineering) /. BEng.
• PrEng /. PrTech
  Candidate GCC Factories.
• Minimum 7 years’ experience in electrical or mechanical engineering.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in facilities management.
• Experience managing engineering teams, including performance management and development.
• Experience in asset management, maintenance planning and root cause failure analysis.
• Experience working to contractual service standards and client specifications.
• Valid code B driver’s license and willingness to travel within the Western Cape.
