• BCom Honours or Post Graduate Diploma in a related field, CFA, MBA or equivalent qualification.
• 8+ years’ experience in a lending environment, investment banking, management consulting, development finance, corporate finance or similar field.
• Previous experience in corporate finance - essential.
• Deep understanding of the lending and credit risk environment.
• Strong credit risk skills, financial modelling, risk management and restructuring capabilities.
• Understanding of corporate finance principles.
• Familiarity with regulations in the industry.
• Demonstrable value-add through operational or strategic oversight in investee companies.

Responsibilities

• Support the disbursement of funds and assess whether funds have been applied for the intended purposes.
• Oversee and monitor the implementation of projects.
• Monitor whether the intended developmental outcomes are achieved.
• Lead the proactive monitoring of investments on a continual basis to ascertain the quality of the book.
