Qualifications

• CA (SA) or BCom (Hons) with articles and fitness certificate.
• 5–7 years of industry-related working experience.
• Strong analytical, financial modelling and risk assessment capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Supports strategic BD decision-making with region/country analyses.
• Proposes partnerships by identifying potential collaborators and opportunities.
• Screens deals by market, financials, and governance considerations.
• Develops negotiating positions and assesses integration with strategy and operations.
• Closes new deals by coordinating requirements and drafting contracts.
• Performs due diligence on counterparties and monitors trends.

Job Description

Job responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

• Supports strategic business development decision-making by producing region/country-specific, and commodity-specific analysis.
• Proposes potential business deals by contacting potential partners; discovering and exploring opportunities
• Screening of potential business deals by analyzing market strategies, deal requirements, potential, and financials; evaluating options; resolving internal priorities; recommending equity investments.
• Develops negotiating strategies and positions by studying integration of new venture with company strategies and operations; examining risks and potentials; estimating partners' needs and goals.
• Closes new business deals by coordinating requirements; developing and negotiating contracts; integrating contract requirements with business operations
• Undertake company specific analysis including analysis of potential partners, competitors and relationship tracking
• Undertakes opportunity screening, prioritisation and business case development including monitoring trends and analysis of investment bank proposals.
• Carries out due diligence on counter-parties to potential transactions.
• Works closely withCorporate Finance in deal settings including the provision of transaction management and the identification of key deal parameters, governance structures, etc
• Enhances organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different business development requests.
• Benchmarking ideas by researching industry and competitors and tracking their accomplishments.
• Ensuring confidentialit6y of information.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

• CA (SA), or B Com (Hons) + articles Certificate of fitness

Experience:

• 5-7 years industry related working experience

Technical Skills

• Knowledge of people management and team development principles
• Understanding of future finance competency requirements
• Understanding of best practice in the human resources sphere
• Honesty, integrity and transparency in practice
• Ability to coach individuals and provide advise on career paths and opportunities in finance
• Knowledge of the mining industry
