Placements24 is seeking an Actuarial Analyst to join its Durban pricing team to develop and refine pricing models for insurance products. You will use your quantitative skills to analyze large datasets, identify pricing trends, and contribute to profitable business strategies in a collaborative, results‑driven environment.

Qualified candidates have a Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field, progress toward FIA/FASSA, and at least four years' actuarial

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or related field.
• Progress toward FIA or FASSA is essential.
• Minimum 4 years actuarial experience in pricing or ratemaking.
• Proficiency in actuarial software and advanced Excel.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain pricing models for insurance products.
• Analyze claims data, market trends, and competitor pricing to inform strategies.
• Perform statistical analyses to assess risk and forecast outcomes.
• Collaborate with underwriting, product development, and marketing to ensure competitive pricing.
• Prepare reports and present pricing insights to senior management.
