Placements24 seeks an Actuarial Analyst for our client in Upington, Northern Cape. You will build models for pricing, reserving, and forecasting and provide quantitative insights on reserves, capital, and profitability.

You’ll collaborate with underwriting, claims and finance, using R, Python and SQL to support pricing and risk decisions. A Bachelor’s degree and ASA/FSA progress are expected, with 2+ years’ experience.

Qualificações

• Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or related quantitative field.
• Progress towards actuarial qualifications (ASA/FSA).
• 2+ years of relevant insurance industry experience (life or short-term).
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and modelling skills; proficient in R, Python, SQL, Prophet.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; able to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.

Responsabilidades

• Develop, maintain and enhance actuarial models for pricing, reserving and forecasting.
• Perform data analysis to inform pricing strategies for new and existing products.
• Calculate and manage policy reserves and capital requirements per regulatory standards.
• Analyze profitability and trends within product lines and provide recommendations.
