Job summary

Hikvision South Africa (Pty) Ltd. in Johannesburg is now looking for a Presales Engineer. We hope you are:

• In-depth understanding of the security solution (Networking, CCTV, access control, alarm, VMS…Etc), including the features, functionalities, limitations.
• Awareness of industry standards, protocols, and best practices, like networking protocols, installation requirements, Cybersecurity regulations.
• Ability to design and understand the technical architecture of solutions, including how different components integrate and interact.
• Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot issues during the sales process, including proof of concept (POC) demonstrations and projects commissioning.
• Proficiency in delivering engaging and persuasive presentations to both technical and business audiences.
• Effectively managing time and prioritizing tasks, especially when juggling multiple customer engagements or deadlines.

Bonus Point(s):

• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Hikvision's product portfolio, including new product releases and software updates.
• With more than 5+ years working experience in security industry and worked as technical support or pre-sales engineer from Hikvision related partners.
• Possession of industry-recognized certifications (e.g., Cisco, AWS, Microsoft, Hikvision-HCSA/P) can be beneficial and often required.

You are enthusiastic and have excellent communication skills in English. You are firm and concrete in your way to share useful information. Having experience in a similar project role in the surveillance industry is preference.
