Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical qualification is an advantage.
• Experience as a Quality Control Inspector in a manufacturing setting.
• Proficient with calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Strong understanding of quality control principles and methodologies.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good observational and analytical skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a production team.
• Basic computer skills for record-keeping and reporting.
• Based in or willing to relocate to Durban.

Responsibilities

• Perform visual and dimensional inspections of raw materials, in-process components, and finished products using measuring instruments.
• Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to verify product conformance.
• Identify, document, and report non-conformities and defects, initiating corrective action requests as needed.
• Conduct testing and validation of products according to established quality control procedures.
• Maintain accurate inspection records and documentation, ensuring traceability.
• Collaborate with production and engineering teams to address quality issues and implement improvements.
• Participate in internal quality audits and assist in the development of quality control processes.
• Ensure compliance with quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001).
• Adhere to health and safety regulations within the workplace.
