Job summary

PepsiCo Inc. is seeking a dedicated Machine Operator to run Binder, Fawema and FFS packaging lines in a high-speed production environment in Western Cape, South Africa. The role focuses on set-up, fault finding, and maintaining 5S practices to ensure products meet specifications.

You will monitor line performance, perform changeovers per schedule, and uphold GMP, HACCP and FSSC standards while ensuring safety and quality on the production line.

Qualifications

• 6 months experience in operating Binder and FFS packing machines.
• Matric, technical qualification will be advantageous.
• Comply and adhere to quality systems (GMP, HACCP, FSSC).
• Monitor and ensure that all required documentation is completed as per standard.
• Continually seek to identify opportunities for cost saving and more effective ways of carrying out production activities.
• Analyze performance and seeks ways to continually improve.

Responsibilities

• Operation of Binder, Fawema and FFS machines including machine set-up
• Fault finding and adjustments to ensure product within spec
• Maintain 5S while operating machinery
• Execute change over as per schedule
• Responsible for organizing workflow and takes responsibilities for safety, quality, delivery, and performance on the line
• Ensure line efficiencies as per agreed target
• Adhere to GMP standards
• Adhere to safety regulations
• Running machine on set speed as per specifications
• Adhere to all related procedures
• Reporting any deviations on the machine to maintenance and assist maintenance during breakdowns
• Perform ad hoc talks
