Tiger Brands is seeking a Bakery Bagging & Slicing Operator to safely operate slicers, baggers and conveyors, ensuring correct slicing, packaging and coding while meeting quality, food-safety and MECP standards.

You will maintain production flow, support clean as you go, participate in shift handovers and work with Production, Quality and Maintenance teams to achieve targets in a busy bakery environment.

Qualificações

• Grade 12 or equivalent preferred.
• Bakery/food manufacturing or production experience advantageous.
• Experience operating slicing, bagging or packaging equipment advantageous.
• Basic literacy and numeracy.
• Good communication, teamwork, attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Strong awareness of food safety, MECP, quality.

Responsabilidades

• Operate and monitor bread slicing and bagging equipment safely and efficiently.
• Set and adjust equipment to meet product specs and throughput.
• Ensure bread is sliced, packaged and sealed with minimal damage.
• Verify packaging materials and product specs are correct.
• Monitor equipment for jams and defects and escalate immediately.
• Conduct routine quality checks and ensure codes are legible.
• Maintain GMP, HACCP, hygiene and product integrity standards.
• Clean as you go and keep area clean and production-ready.
• Assist maintenance during breakdowns and planned maintenance when required.
• Participate in shift handovers and communicate production issues.
