Job summary

Medipost Pharmacy in the Western Cape is seeking a Pre-Dispensing Assistant for the Chronic Dispensing Unit to pre-pack medicines according to CDU procedures, ensuring safety and accuracy. The role focuses on pre-packing, verification, and documentation to support patient regimens.

Responsibilities include bulk and fine prepacking, real-time fine-picks, salvaged medicine handling, and batch tracking. Requires SAPC registration, Learner Basic, and proficiency with Excel and the Medipost App.

Qualifications

• 6 months in a Pharmacy environment.
• On the job training.

Responsibilities

• Perform verification checks on batch, quantity, product and label against the batch control document.
• Timeously repack assigned original products into pre-packs per SOPs set for CDU.
• Handle high-, medium- and low-volume prepacking and real-time fine-picks.
• Count and pack pre-packs into labelled containers and shipper boxes.
• Assist production fine-picking and verify FCDs used in the process.
• Package salvageable medicine and manage broken packs per SOPs.
