You will work with a team on infrastructure projects, perform power quality analysis, and implement protection schemes in line with South African codes and safety regulations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum of 5 years in electrical power distribution engineering.
• Proficiency with electrical design software and distribution system analysis tools.
• Solid understanding of utility operations, grid modernization, and protection schemes.
• Knowledge of South African electrical codes and safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Design, plan, and supervise the construction and maintenance of electrical distribution systems, including substations and power lines.
• Perform power quality analysis and mitigate voltage fluctuations and harmonics.
• Develop and manage asset management programs for distribution network components.
• Conduct investigations and root cause analyses for outages and equipment failures.
• Ensure designs and operations comply with safety standards and regulations.
• Collaborate with field crews and engineers on upgrades and new connections.
