Job summary

Goldi, a leading poultry producer within the Astral Group, is seeking a high-energy Team Leader to oversee the daily operations on the relevant processing line. You will manage a team, ensure SOP adherence, HACCP compliance and drive production metrics.

The role requires 3+ years in poultry production, PME qualification or willingness to obtain, and readiness to work shifts. A competitive salary and development opportunities are on offer.

Qualifications

• Matric with relevant poultry industry experience.
• Minimum 3 years hands-on poultry breeder operation experience.
• PME qualification or willingness to obtain one.
• Experience in high-throughput production environment.
• Willing to work shifts and overtime.
• Ability to lead staff professionally and work under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Manage staff attendance, performance evaluations and conflict resolution.
• Train new team members on SOPs and line mechanics.
• Maintain quality, food hygiene, process flows and production volumes.
• Monitor line speed, yield and product giveaway; report metrics.
• Coordinate with maintenance for servicing and breakdowns.
• Enforce HACCP food safety standards and conduct quality checks.
• Maintain clean, hazard-free workspace and safety.
• Support 20keys principles and health and safety initiatives.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
