Job summary

BLU by Adcorp SA in South Africa seeks a proactive Project Manager with at least 3 years' experience to lead end-to-end delivery of POTN initiatives, ensuring network resilience and performance. You will plan, execute, and monitor projects from initiation to closure, coordinating with senior management and stakeholders.

This role covers project planning, site management across Johannesburg region, vendor liaison, budgeting, risk management, safety compliance, and progress reporting.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related field.
• Experience: Minimum 3 years of project management experience.
• Industry Knowledge: POTN or similar infrastructure projects
• Valid South African driver’s license and own reliable vehicle (willingness to travel to sites).
• Experience working with major South African telecom operators or power utilities.

Responsibilities

• Project Planning: Define project scope, goals, and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.
• POTN Execution: Manage all technical aspects of Power and Telecommunications/Transport network projects, including fiber optics, microwave links, and associated power infrastructure.
• Site Management: Coordinate site surveys, construction, installation, and commissioning activities across the Johannesburg region and surrounding areas.
• Stakeholder Management: Liaise with clients, contractors, local municipalities, and utility providers to secure wayleaves and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Risk Management: Identify potential project risks (technical, environmental, or logistical) and implement mitigation strategies.
• Budgeting & Cost Control: Track project costs, manage procurement of materials, and ensure financial objectives are met.
• Quality Assurance: Ensure all project activities adhere to industry standards, safety regulations, and company quality policies (OHS Act compliance).
• Reporting: Provide regular project status updates to management, highlighting milestones, delays, and resource requirements.
