Cashbuild is hiring a cashier for Mall of Tembisa. The role involves accurately handling all POS transactions and ensuring goods are paid for before leaving the till.

You will assist customers at checkout and maintain proper cash handling at all times. The position requires Grade 12 or 1 year related experience, English and local language communication, basic math, strong administration, willingness to work shifts, weekends and public holidays, and the ability to work under pressure.

Formación

• Grade 12 or minimum of 1 year work related experience.
• Ability to communicate in English and the dominant language spoken in the geographical area where the position is available.
• Ability to perform basic calculations accurately.
• Must have strong administration skills.
• Must be willing to work shifts, weekends and Public Holidays.
• Must be able to work under pressure.

Responsabilidades

• Balance cash (floats, petty cash) and ensure no shorts or overs.
• Identify and capture goods on the POS terminal.
• Capture the correct payment type from customers on the POS terminal.
• Maintain sufficient change at all times.
• Ensure pick-ups are done accurately within the set parameters.
• Perform daily cash-ups and drop takings into the drop safe/vault.
• Process transactions relating to other stores' money, deliveries, and quotes correctly.
• Sign, compile, and file all related documentation for the cashier function.
• Adhere to Ready for Business and the CB Way.
• Offer fast, friendly, and efficient service at check-out.
• Direct customers to the relevant person and ensure dress code compliance.
• Ensure OHSA safety compliance and report discrepancies.
• Maintain system password control and secure cash handling/transport.
