Placements24 is hiring an Insurance Risk Analyst in Polokwane, Limpopo, to manage risk across a diverse insurance portfolio. The role requires strong analytical and quantitative capabilities, collaboration with underwriting and actuarial teams, and ensuring regulatory compliance.

The successful candidate will develop risk frameworks, monitor risk indicators, and contribute to capital modeling and solvency assessments.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in risk analysis, preferably in insurance.
Strong analytical and quantitative skills with proficiency in data analysis tools.
Knowledge of South African insurance regulations and reporting requirements.

Responsibilities

Analyze insurance policy data to identify, assess, and quantify risks.
Develop and implement risk management frameworks and strategies.
Monitor the risk profile of the insurance portfolio and report on key risk indicators.
Conduct research on emerging risks and their potential impact on the business.
Collaborate with underwriting, actuarial, and finance teams to provide insights.
Assist in the development and execution of risk mitigation plans.
Ensure compliance with relevant insurance regulations and reporting requirements.
Prepare comprehensive risk reports and presentations for senior management.
Work with actuarial teams on capital modeling and solvency assessments.
Contribute to the continuous improvement of risk management processes and tools.
