Placements24 is recruiting a meticulous Risk Analyst for a hybrid role in Polokwane, Limpopo. You will identify, assess, and mitigate risks, develop risk management strategies, and analyze data to inform strategic decisions.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years of risk analysis experience and strong skills in Excel, SQL, R, and Python. You will collaborate with stakeholders to ensure regulatory compliance and contribute to business continuity planning, with opportunities for professional development

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience in risk analysis, preferably in insurance/financial services.
• Bachelor's degree required in Finance, Economics, Mathematics or related field.
• Proficiency with data analysis tools (Excel, SQL, R, Python).
• Strong analytical, quantitative, and writing skills.

Responsibilities

• Identify, assess, and monitor potential risks across business units.
• Develop and implement risk management strategies and policies.
• Analyze financial data and operational metrics to identify risk exposures and trends.
• Prepare risk assessment reports and present findings to management.
• Develop and maintain risk models and frameworks.
• Monitor regulatory changes and ensure compliance with legislation.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to promote a risk-aware culture.
• Conduct due diligence on potential partners and investments.
• Investigate and report incidents and near misses.
• Contribute to business continuity and disaster recovery planning.
