Placements24 is seeking a dedicated Chemical Engineer to join the Plant Operations team in Polokwane. The role focuses on safe, efficient, and continuous operation of chemical facilities, with hands-on troubleshooting and process improvements.

You will ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations, collaborate with maintenance and quality teams, and contribute to asset integrity and product quality at a dynamic plant site.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering.
• 3-5 years of experience in chemical plant operations or related field.
• Strong understanding of chemical unit operations and process control.
• Proficiency in troubleshooting in an industrial setting.
• Knowledge of safety procedures and environmental compliance.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and manage chemical processes to ensure optimal performance and adherence to production schedules.
• Identify and resolve operational problems, performing root cause analysis for process deviations.
• Implement improvements to enhance process efficiency, reduce costs, and minimize environmental impact.
• Ensure strict compliance with all health, safety, and environmental (HSE) regulations .
• Collaborate with maintenance and quality control teams to ensure asset integrity and product quality.
• Assist in the training of plant operators and provide technical support for operational activities.
