Super Group in Cape Town seeks a Technical Accounting Specialist to own the Group's accounting policy and provide IFRS guidance for accurate financial reporting. You will drive policy governance, mentor business units and support external audits with robust technical documentation.

The role requires a CA(SA) or equivalent, 5-7 years in technical accounting or policy writing, and a strong IFRS background. A hybrid work model and comprehensive benefits support your growth.

Qualifications

• CA(SA) or equivalent accounting qualification.
• 5-7 years experience in technical accounting or policy writing.
• Strong understanding of IFRS and regulatory frameworks.
• Experience drafting accounting manuals or technical memos.
• Experience working with external auditors and managing audit processes.
• Strong attention to detail and data integrity.
• Excellent technical writing and presentation skills.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.

Responsibilities

• Own and develop the Group Accounting Policy Manual, ensuring alignment with IFRS.
• Provide IFRS technical guidance and practical accounting treatments.
• Ensure consolidated financial results comply with IFRS and disclosures are accurate.
• Support external auditors with technical accounting matters and documentation.
• Monitor new standards and translate updates into internal guidance.
• Collaborate with operational finance, tax, treasury, and legal teams.
