Job summary

Our client, a leading financial services group, seeks a Specialist Accountant: Group Financial Reporting. You will drive monthly management reporting for Group EXCO, and coordinate annual and interim financial reporting while providing IFRS technical support across the Group.

Key tasks include assisting with Group and subsidiary financial statements, trial balance controls, and IFRS 17 implementation. SAICA articles completed, CA(SA) designation, and 2–4 years' experience are required.

Qualifications

• Qualified CA(SA) with SAICA Articles completed.
• 2–4 years' experience in accounting/financial environment.
• Strong IFRS technical accounting knowledge.
• Experience in statutory and group financial reporting.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly management reporting for Group EXCO.
• Coordinate interim and annual financial reporting.
• Support IFRS 17 implementation and related disclosures.
• Assist with group and subsidiary financial statements.
• Provide IFRS guidance across the Group and training where required.
• Participate in system testing and ad hoc reporting projects.
