Job summary

SKILLS CONNECTOR is seeking a Qualified Mechanical Artisan with a National Technical Diploma (NTS 6) and at least 4 years in a similar role to lead plant maintenance. The role focuses on preventative and predictive maintenance, reliability planning, and team leadership across 4 shifts.

You will develop standard procedures, manage materials, schedules, and budgets, and drive continuous improvement with strong problem-solving and data reporting skills.

Qualifications

• Qualified Mechanical Artisan with a national diploma (NTS 6) and 4+ years in a similar role.
• Strong leadership and team management abilities.
• Experience with maintenance planning and data reporting.

Responsibilities

• Drive routine preventative and predictive maintenance.
• Lead development of standard maintenance procedures for Production Plant.
• Use problem solving tools in team sessions.
• Develop a reliability plan and ensure team competencies.
• Coordinate materials and supplies for maintenance at the site.
• Schedule daily activities across artisans and operators.
• Supervise contractors and allocate responsibilities.
• Control and verify daily job cards.
• Analyse production data to identify improvements.
• Manage maintenance budgets and spend vs. actuals.
• Ensure health and safety compliance for equipment and staff.
• Lead HR/IR matters for the maintenance team.
• Oversee 4 shifts and daily operations.
• Coordinate major overhauls and inspections.
• Stock control and governance.
