About the Role

Our client is seeking a dedicated Plant Mechanical Engineer to manage and optimize mechanical operations within their facility in Sandton. This role is critical for ensuring the smooth, efficient, and safe operation of all plant machinery and systems. You will be responsible for maintenance, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement initiatives to maximize uptime and minimize operational costs. This on-site position requires hands-on involvement with plant equipment and close collaboration with maintenance, operations, and safety teams. The successful candidate will be a key contributor to maintaining the highest standards of operational performance and plant integrity.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the maintenance, repair, and optimal functioning of all plant mechanical equipment and systems.
• Develop and implement preventative and predictive maintenance programs to minimize equipment downtime and extend asset life.
• Troubleshoot mechanical failures and implement effective solutions to resolve issues promptly.

Requirements
