Placements24 is seeking an experienced Chemical Plant Manager to oversee its Vereeniging facility. You will be responsible for safe, efficient, and cost-effective production of chemicals, driving operational excellence and continuous improvement across the plant.

The role requires a strong background in chemical engineering, extensive plant operations management, and a track record of leading large teams in a demanding manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering (MBA is a plus).
• 10+ years in chemical plant operations, including 5+ years in management.
• Proven experience leading large teams and complex production processes.
• Strong knowledge of chemical manufacturing, process optimization, and safety management systems.
• Experience with budgeting, P&L management, and implementing operational improvements in Vereeniging.

Responsibilities

• Direct and manage all plant operations, including production, maintenance, quality control, and safety.
• Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve plant production and profitability goals.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations.
