Job summary

Red Ember Recruitment (PTY) Ltd is seeking a Plant Maintenance Coordinator in Bellville, South Africa to own maintenance planning, breakdown coordination, and statutory inspections within a busy manufacturing environment.

The role requires 3–5 years in maintenance, strong planning capabilities, and practical mechanical knowledge. You will manage service providers, spares, and CMMS-related tasks on the factory floor.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years' relevant experience in maintenance, manufacturing, engineering, field service, or a technical coordination role.
• Experience in preventative maintenance planning and coordination.
• Experience coordinating breakdowns, contractors, and external service providers.
• Practical mechanical knowledge with basic electrical fault awareness.
• Experience with maintenance records, stock/spares control and purchasing.
• Strong Excel and Outlook skills.
• Comfort on the factory floor, identifying maintenance and safety issues.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate preventative maintenance for production machinery and equipment.
• Coordinate breakdowns and liaise with contractors and service providers.
• Oversee service provider interactions and ensure timely completions.
• Maintain maintenance records, stock/spares levels and purchasing logs.
