Job summary

Red Ember Recruitment (PTY) Ltd is seeking a Plant Maintenance Coordinator for a busy industrial manufacturing site in Bellville. You will own maintenance planning, coordinate breakdowns, manage statutory inspections, and oversee service providers, spares, fleet upkeep and general factory maintenance.

The role suits an experienced Maintenance Technician, Planner or Technical Coordinator with strong planning, administration and follow-through skills, willing to work on the factory floor and drive

Qualifications

• 3-5 years' experience in maintenance, manufacturing, engineering or technical coordination.
• Experience in an industrial/manufacturing environment with production machinery.
• Strong experience in preventative maintenance planning and coordination.
• Experience coordinating breakdowns, contractors and external service providers.
• Practical mechanical knowledge with basic electrical fault awareness.
• Experience with maintenance records, stock/spares control and purchasing.
• Strong Excel and Outlook skills.
• Willingness to work on the factory floor and address maintenance and safety issues with technicians and suppliers.
• CMMS familiarity is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of maintenance planning and scheduling.
• Coordinate breakdowns and liaise with contractors and service providers.
• Oversee statutory inspections and compliance checks.
• Manage critical spares, stock control and purchasing.
• Maintenance of fleet and general factory upkeep.
