Job summary

Unilever is seeking a Site Engineering Manager to oversee engineering projects, maintenance, and site services across the Boksburg factory in Johannesburg. This role drives improvements to achieve performance targets, leads a multi-disciplinary engineering team, and supports sustainability initiatives on site.

You will manage capital budgets, lead TPM-based maintenance, and ensure compliance with safety and environmental standards while facilitating digital maintenance and data-driven decision

Qualifications

• Leadership experience managing large teams and stakeholders.
• Experience delivering end-to-end projects within a manufacturing setting.
• Familiar with digital maintenance systems, condition monitoring and plant data analytics.

Responsibilities

• Lead engineering projects, from design through to execution and handover, aligned with TPM/early equipment management.
• Oversee maintenance TPM pillar: preventive maintenance, MTBF/MTTR optimization.
• Drive energy and sustainability initiatives, decarbonisation, and asset lifecycle strategies.
