Job summary

Unilever in South Africa seeks a Site Engineering Manager at the Boksburg Factory, Johannesburg. You will oversee engineering projects, maintenance across utilities, production lines, and buildings to meet performance targets and ensure safe, compliant operations.

Lead the engineering team, manage capital projects, TPM, and digital maintenance, driving energy efficiency, reliability, and decarbonisation initiatives in line with Unilever standards.

Qualifications

• BSc Engineering Degree (Mechanical or Electrical).
• GCC - essential.
• 8–10 years' experience across Engineering roles.
• 3–5 years in FMCG / manufacturing operations.
• Experience with digital maintenance systems and plant data analytics is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Lead engineering strategy, projects, and maintenance across the site.
• Manage capital budgets and deliver TPM-driven improvements.
• Drive safety, compliance, and reliability of assets.
• Promote sustainability, energy and water reduction initiatives.
• Lead a multidisciplinary engineering team and liaise with stakeholders.
