Placements24 is seeking a qualified Pipeline Engineer to manage the integrity and maintenance of a pipeline network based in East London. The role ensures safe, reliable transportation of oil and gas, and involves developing inspection and maintenance plans while assessing pipeline condition.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in pipeline integrity, a Bachelor's in Mechanical or Civil Engineering, and strong knowledge of inspection techniques and corrosion mechanisms.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Civil Engineering (or related field).
• Minimum 5 years of pipeline engineering experience focused on integrity/maintenance.
• Strong understanding of materials, corrosion mechanisms and failure modes.
• Experience with inspection techniques (e.g., ultrasonic, magnetic flux leakage) and data analysis.
• Familiarity with ASME B31.4 and API 1160.
• Willingness to work in East London and travel to field sites.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement pipeline integrity management programs.
• Plan and oversee ILI activities for the pipeline network.
• Analyze ILI data, corrosion monitoring results, and other integrity data.
• Develop repair strategies and manage repair crews.
• Ensure compliance with pipeline safety regulations and standards.
• Collaborate with operations and construction teams for maintenance and upgrades.
